For the second year, PBS Kids and Austin’s Whole Foods Market are offering a new line of classic toys. The toys are made of PlanWood, a high-density fiber composite wood from rubber trees, organic pigment and rubber wood.
One hundred percent of the profits goes to PBS Kids for its nonprofit work, and PBS will give 1 percent to Whole Kids Foundation, which gives parents, teachers and kids more tools to eat well.
Toys include Jungle Jam Drum, $24.99; Stacking Giraffe with rings you stack, $19.99; Dancing Alligator pull toy, $19.99; a line of sailboats, speedboats and submarines driven by different animals or people, $12.99-$14.99; a xylophone, $24.99; a mini golf set, $29.99; and a rocking horse, $74.99.
The toys are available at Whole Foods Market beginning this month and on shop.PBSkids.org.
