Gone are the days of just hearing the baby through what was essentially a two-way radio. Ayden video baby monitor lets you see baby as well as hear her. It also has a microphone for baby to hear your voice. You can record up to three lullabyes that can be turned on and off remotely. You also can turn on a night light or use night vision. It’s also expandable to add up to four cameras. Find it for $99 online at MyLevana.com.

Would you want a baby monitor that is this high tech? We quickly ditched the old-fashioned baby monitor with my kids when we realized that it was keeping us up at night listening to every move our kids made when if they truly woke up we would hear them. I can’t imagine watching them, too. I would get sucked in at every toss and turn. Is this our first step in becoming a helicopter mom?
