A teacher designed the EZLeaps — probably because she was tired of tying shoe after shoe. It’s basically a piece of cardboard with an X in it for you to put your laces in. The monkeys on the design help you figure out how to make each loop and then crisscross the loop. After you’re done, you pull the EZLeaps off and you’ve got a double-knotted, tied shoelace. Hooray! (There’s a step-by-step picture guide online if you have trouble figuring it out. Your kids will not have such trouble.)
EZLeaps are $5.49 at www.ezleaps.com.
