Mexican American Cultural Center looking for young artists’ work

Put on by the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center, the Arte de Corazón exhibit will feature the art projects of Austin youth in two of the center’s galleries.

Any student between the ages of 4-18 in the Austin area is free to submit paintings, photos, crafts, mixed media or 3-D sculptures, which will be arranged by a gallery specialist and displayed from Dec. 13-Jan. 17. To submit, fill out an entry form that can be found at: http://austintexas.gov/sites/default/files/files/Parks/MACC/Call_for_Entries_-_DIGITAL_v3.pdf and email to robert.jones2@austintexas.gov. Submissions must be delivered to the main gallery of the center between 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Dec. 1  and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Dec. 2. The center is at 600 River St.
